One of my earliest paintings that I did in 2018. It’s funny saying earlier works like I’ve done this art thing for so long. It feels like forever and a nano-second all at the same time. The original painting was huge and I would lug it around town with me for all of my live paintings and art shows. That was the grind. I was really proud of this piece and now I look at it so critically for all of its errors. But then I remember that art isn’t really about being so technically good at all of the little things. As a whole, this painting says what I wanted it to say. I struggle making authentic work like this now. Straight from the heart.
